Gary Irwin Solicitors has advised private clients and businesses in north County Dublin since 2006. Their promise is definite legal advice, on time and on budget. Their website had fallen so far behind that most visitors could not open it at all.
“Colin took a site our clients couldn't even open and turned it into one we're proud of. Clear, fast, and delivered quickly.”
A well-established practice with a website that modern browsers would not even open.
The firm's previous website was badly out of date. It had never moved to HTTPS, so modern browsers blocked it or warned visitors away, and for most prospective clients it simply did not load.
That matters for a solicitor. People rarely look for one until they need one, and when they do they want three answers fast: can this firm help with my problem, can I trust them, and what will it cost. Gary Irwin Solicitors covers ten practice areas, from conveyancing and wills to employment, family law and litigation, and none of that breadth was reaching anyone online.
Structure around the client's problem, then build trust at every step.
The starting point was a light skeleton: the firm's logo, a short overview of each service, and outlines for the guides. I expanded and shaped that into a full site, covering structure, copy, design and build.
The site is organised around the ten practice areas so visitors can go straight to their own situation, with a "Not sure which service you need?" route for everyone else. Trust is built into the structure: a team page showing the practice areas each person covers, the firm's client charter, client testimonials, and clear service commitments on the homepage, such as emails answered within 24 hours and a fee estimate within 48. A library of plain-English guides on buying, selling, wills, probate, employment and starting a business answers the questions clients ask before they call.
Search was designed in from the start, for both traditional search engines and AI assistants. Each practice area and guide has its own clean, descriptive URL and page title, the markup is semantic and accessible, and the site is fast enough to score 100 across the board. The guides are written to answer the questions people actually ask, directly and in plain English, which is the content generative search tools surface and cite.
The build is a lean, static Next.js site with no CMS overhead. A lightweight contact form, powered by Resend, routes enquiries by practice area. Buyers and sellers can go straight to QuickMove, the firm's own conveyancing platform, for an instant quote.
From a site that would not load to a perfect PageSpeed score.
The new site scores 100 on PageSpeed in every category: performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO.
Every practice area has its own home, the team is visible, and the firm's commitments are stated up front. The guides library gives the firm a lasting content asset that supports both traditional and AI-powered search, and links the practice to QuickMove, its conveyancing platform.
