Property transactions are slow, opaque and stressful for everyone involved. I was brought in as consultant to define and deliver a platform that changes that.
“Colin took a complicated offline process and turned it into a digital product that just makes sense. He shaped the strategy, designed every detail, and kept delivery on track.”
Property transactions are one of the most stressful experiences in a person's life, made worse by a process that is fragmented, opaque and full of unnecessary friction.
Buyers struggle to understand costs upfront, brokers and lenders operate in disconnected silos, and legal progress updates are slow and inconsistent. The result is a process that feels out of control for everyone involved. QuickMove needed a product that could bring all of these stakeholders into a single shared workspace, deliver instant transparent pricing, and give buyers real-time visibility from quote through to completion.
Simplify the process to its essentials, then build around the people who have to live it.
I led product strategy, design, business analysis and delivery management from initial scope through to launch. The core flow distils conveyancing into four clear stages: an instant legal quote, stakeholder introductions that create a shared workspace for buyer, broker and lender, real-time legal progress tracking, and a clear completion milestone. Every design decision was tested against the goal of reducing uncertainty for buyers while keeping advisors aligned without additional overhead.
A product built to take the friction out of one of life's most stressful transactions.
QuickMove is launching with a platform that delivers instant transparent quotes, unifies the key stakeholders in a single workspace, and keeps buyers informed at every stage of the legal process. The focus throughout has been on clarity and confidence for people navigating a process that has historically offered neither.
Building QuickMove today, one thing would change: no handoff between design and development.
QuickMove came together through a strong partnership: I led strategy, design and delivery management while a development partner handled the build. Today I'd take that a step further and build what I design — the strategy and design work a 0-to-1 product demands stays just as deep, but each decision moves from design into working product far sooner, with design and build in the same hands throughout. In a flow where buyer confidence depends on every status being right, that continuity means each detail carries through to production exactly as designed.
